Positive Impact promotes Vision as the first principle of Life Focus to guide our lives. We believe that having a vision gives us the foundation for wise Work. Through the years I have taught on what I call “The Three D’s” (Decisions, Direction and Destiny.) Decisions determine Direction and Direction determines our Destiny. I’d like to call that, “Understanding for Wise Work.”

Having a vision helps us with our decision making process and ultimately our destiny in life.

You may have a vision to be a doctor, play in the NFL, raise “successful” children or graduate from high school or college. The unfortunate thing is that many people don’t see their vision come to pass and they get discouraged.

Proverbs 13:12 says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”

As you reflect on your life, you may be experiencing an undercurrent of discouragement that has your heart sick. You may be depressed or dissatisfied. I want to encourage you today. There is a path that can lead to a happier life.

I invite you to stay connected with my exploration of skills that can help you on your journey of life. With these skills and faith, you can become like a tree planted by the water.

I close by naming the Five Principles of Life Focus that I mentioned at the beginning of this post. These principles are Vision, Work, Rest, Accounting and Worship. These are a couple of the categories that I will be writing about throughout this year. I hope they help you.
