Years ago, I was introduced to an organization based in Shreveport that outlined a strategy for building caring communities. Through the years, I visited Community Renewal International several times, as there were some strong similarities with the vision of Positive Impact of building safe and caring communities through positive relationships.

That vision has not changed and after many years of delay I have finally kicked off the “We Care” Campaign. More than ever, we need to build positive relationships with our neighbors. I ask you to consider what is better, a positive relationship or contentious relationship with your neighbor. Chances are, if you are trying to stay neutral and not wanting to be an active agent of change, that your community is not as welcoming and supportive as it could be.

I’m inviting you to consider how you and your family can show that you care for your community by joining the We Care Team. I believe that we can build mutually beneficial relationships in every neighborhood.

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Helen Keller

What’s your vision?
