Positive Impact is coordinating Algiers Peace Rides to support the New Orleans Complete Streets Coalition with it’s goal to bring more safety and less stress to New Orleans streets. Every week we will be highlighting new biking corridors that have been installed around Algiers to promote safety. The community is invited to become familiar with these bike lanes, by choosing to ride independently, with friends and family or joining us in our group guided rides each week.
As part of this experience, we are asking all riders to complete our online Participant Ride Verification to provide feedback on your ride experience and safety observations. You can access this form on the Complete Streets page of our website at https://positiveimpactnola.com/peace-ride/.
Our first guided ride is on the Lawrence Street Corridor between Hendee Street and Odeon Avenue. Join us on Sunday, October 4 at 4pm. We will be meeting at the playground in Behrman Park near the General Meyer entrance.
If you are riding independently, go to the Complete Streets page for riding instructions for the mindful peace ride.
Get your bikes tuned up, find your helmets, tell your friends and come have fun as you meet the people in your neighborhood.
